May trip

We have decided to make an annual trip down to the Williamsburg area as a family. We ventured out the second week in May. Our original plans were spoiled by rain, so we changed them a bit. We went down one day earlier so we could get two days in at Busch Gardens. We got up really early on Thursday to drive down. We got there a few minutes before nine, to find out in the spring they are only open friday-sunday. So we decided to head over to Yorktown and Jamestown for the day.
The kids loved to play by the water and climb all over the cannons. I was surprised out how well the kids did on both places and seemed to enjoy learning about the history.
Busch Gardens during the spring has this great thing that if you buy one day you get the second day free. So we spent Friday and Saturday there. We got a little wet from both the rain and rides, but at least it was not too cold. The kids loved riding all the fun kid rides. Both days we wore both the kiddos out and us out.
