Here are some fun Christmas pics. We had a fun day opening presents and spending time with our cousins. Chandler got a few new Go Diego toys that he was begging for. From one set of grandparents he got a talking bus, to help with his spelling. The other set he got a Thomas the Engine train set and lots of clothes from both. His great grandparents got him clothes and a remote control car. Spencer got a new kitchen with a oven (hopefully he will stay away from mine now). His grandparents got him a mixer and from the other set he got a cash register with food. From the great grandparents he got clothes and some cars. Lexie got a bunch of little toys. Her favorite was a musical ark that you can push and it plays music. From the grandparents she got a ball drop and the other set got her some bath toys. So our kids got a lot of fun things. It was a nice relaxing morning and then we spent the afternoon to evening at Ryan and Anne's home in Virgina. We hope that everyone had as great of a day as we did.

Make-up time
Well Spence decided that he would put on some of my make-up this morning. I could hear him in the bathroom, but I just didn't dare look until he came walking out. He could have done a lot more damage, but it wasn't too bad this time. I seem to catch my kids looking at their greatest, hah, hah. They seem to be doing things that are funny or cute, when they haven't had their hair combed or their faces wiped after a meal. I haven't had the capability to download pictures for a little, so I apologize for the bunch of pictures I just posted in one day.
Decorating for Christmas
This was the only picture that did not turn out totally blurry. Our camera is hit and miss with having the pictures turn out, or having it totally blurry. Chandler and Spencer enjoyed decorating our house and little tree. This year we decided to do it simple by borrowing Ryan and Anne's small Christmas tree. We are still unpacking and getting things organized, so our house still looks like a tornado ran through it.
D.C. Temple at Christmas time
We went to the D.C. Temple last Monday night for family home evening. Everyone had fun seeing the lights and real people in the manager scene. It was a pretty warm evening for walking around. I am still trying to figure some things on our camera, so some of the pictures turn out a little blurry. This was a fun way to start off our 1st Christmas back in D.C.

We Made it...
Well after a very long drive we made it back to MD last Sunday. The drive was horrible, we hit a blizzard through the Colorado Rockies and had a few close calls with other cars. I think my knuckles were pure white the whole time driving over those lovely mountains. Chandler kept telling me to calm down and that it was going to be okay. Nate was in one car with Spence and I had Chan and Lexie in with me and Chan was probably hoping he was in with Nate. I've driven in blizzards before, just not going over a very windy and steep climbs. We tried to miss another storm by going really south through Tennesse, that added a few more hours to the lovely drive we were having, hah, hah. After five days of driving for hours on end we made it on the 7th just in time for Nate to start work bright and early Monday morning. Our belongings did not make it until just a few days ago. We camped out in the apartment for a week, quite the adventure. I think everyone was very excited to see their own beds, I definetly was. Our kids are having a tought time adjusting to living in an apartment, luckily it is only until our townhome is being built. It will be a joyous day when we move into it in two months. We have had some misadventures already in this place. The blinds in the boys room was broken this morning, we have had coloring on the walls and carpet. It only happens when you don't own the place. In our home in Utah we never broke a blind. For the next few days we are having to live with Netzero free internet service, that is slower than all get out. I will be happy when I can get my DSL back, I am very much addicted to blogging and reading others. We are so very blessed that we made it here safely and are all doing fairly well. We went to our new ward on Sunday and it seems to be a very nice ward. So we will see what this chapter in our lives involves.
