March madness

To start off with this has nothing to do with basketball. It has to do with our very active kiddos. In my last post I mentioned that with Nate working so much it has not been too bad, well we have hit a rough patch.
The day started off with me forgetting to put Chandler's homework in his backpack. They were suppose to take a cylinder of some type to school, I totally forgot. Then Spence refused to wear what I had set out for him and of course we were already running late. Luckily Chan when he got home was really good about it, I was surprised that he did not get really mad at me. I have realized that there are certain times of the day that are more tense around our house. After Chan gets home from school until about 8 is usually crazy around here. If you call anytime during this period I may not answer, so sorry ahead of time. Between trying to get everyone a snack, they all seem to be starving right when we walk in the door..even though three of them could have eaten before. Then to fix and eat dinner, homework, and bedtime routine the evenings fly bye.

Today was especially crazy right when we got home from the bus stop. I was downstairs helping Chan and Spence find a show they could both agree on. I came upstairs to pudding all over the kitchen floor, cupboards, and fridge. Wesley had broken the fridge lock gotten in and took down a bowl of pudding and enjoyed spreading it all over. Well while cleaning that up Lexie went upstairs to the potty. I was going up to put Wesley's clothes in the washer and happened to look in the bathroom. Needless to say Lexie went poop and tried to wipe herself with everything in the bathroom, but toilet paper. While I was cleaning that mess Wesley was in our bathroom. I usually close our door, but it was left open a little. He was enjoying playing in the toilet and it happened to be one of the kiddos forgot to flush, so really disgusting. All of this happened within a ten minute period..so I was ready for a mommy timeout.

Wesley is a cute kid, but man he gets into stuff more than any of my other kids did. I don't remember my other kids being able to open and shut doors at this young. Maybe they did and I just blocked it out:) We are going to have to invest in better child proofing things around the house.
To end the fabulous evening we had a soccer meeting for Chandler. Nate called right before to say he was not going to make it in time to watch the kiddos, while I went. Well the soccer director had sent an e-mail last night mentioning the time change of the meeting. I must have missed that so we were planning on being there at 6:30. We showed up a little after 6, so I was thinking yay we will be early. A gentleman asked if we were here for the soccer meeting and to follow him. All the doors were locked that we checked, we walked around the whole middle school with no luck. A janitor stuck out their head and said the door in the back with a blue door is unlocked, the only one that we did not check. Of course it was the door closer to where we had parked. I had packed a bag to entertain all four kids for the meeting. We find where it was at and it had started at 6, they were just finishing up. Needless to say we got there just in time for the uniform handouts. My friend said that we basically had not missed anything. I guess it was a mixed blessing to get there at the original time. Then I would not have to entertain kids while trying to listen. I was tired when we got home, so Lex and Wesley went to bed at 7.

To leave on a happier note. We moved Wesley into a big boys bed on Saturday. He has been doing fabulous. Now I need to go and get some cute bedding for him. Nate surprised me on Saturday and brought a mattress home. We had kind of talked about moving him..but I did not realize this quick. It will make after surgery nicer for me, since they said to not pick up anything very heavy for two weeks. I really thought that it would be really tough to move him at 19 months. So far, so good:) Here are a few pics of him in his new bed. I took it with my cell phone..so the clarity is not that great. After I get his bedding we will post better pics.

Pics

Here are some pics of the bigger snow storm we got a while back and of Lexie's 3yr. old pics. An actual post is below this one.

Jan and Feb catch up

I am not sure where the last few months have gone, time has flown by quickly. It has been really hard lately to get on here and update this blog. Here we go, I will see how I far I get before a little person needs me:)

Nate- He has been really busy with tax season, especially this season. They are trying to get him on the track to becoming partner, which means working A LOT of hours. This has kept him busy and left nothing else for the poor guy to do. The only thing that he has had time to do is read, which is really rare for him(the reading part). He actually joined a reading group at work and so far he's been able to read the books.

Jill- I have been busy being mom and dad the last two months, hasn't been all that bad. I started a diet/exercise program which has been tough, but given me the energy to do the above. I've been able to go down two jean sizes, yay!!! In April I get to have my gall bladder out, that should be exciting.

Chandler- He is still looooving school, everyday he is so excited to go. He has lost two teeth in the last month and have had the tooth fairy come to visit. The last few weeks he has been a great helper around the house, he helps me a ton with Wesley. I think in the last two weeks he has had a growth spurt, because all of his pants are looking like floods on him. It is so hard to keep up with these growing kiddos.

Spencer- What can I say about Spencer he is still a little fireball. He is the one that makes me laugh and I have to kick myself for not writing down some of the things that he says. Lately his teacher has been telling me that he definitely has a mind of his own and is very stubborn.

Lexie- I think that a switch has gone off in her since she turned three in Jan. She is the most dramatic little thing EVER. Anything and everything will set her off. She gets mad if her hair or clothes are not right and anything you can think of. She is a whopping 33 IBS and 36 IN, so she is still up there in the charts.

Wesley- I can just have a whole post dedicated to this little guy, he is a force to be reckoned with. He has been busy lately with losing our $60 Skype phone to locking me out of the house. He is still a chunky little monkey, he weighs 27 LBS and is in the 90% for height. He is officially in nursery, now just to get him to stay in there. None of our other kids had any problems going in, I guess we were bound to have at least one that had a hard time.

Other fun events have been celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday. We made green eggs and ham for breakfast; made puppets, made a cake with Dr. Seuss characters, had red and white rice for dinner. Chandler lately has been really getting into celebrating any little event that comes around. Back up a little we made fun Valentine cookies, which is always a fun event with four little ones. The last few months have been filled with some tears, laughter, and tiredness...and lots of running around. Hopefully I can be better about posting things when they happen..I said that before we will see if it happens. Here are some fun pics from the last few months.
