Now Officially...

Lexie is now officially walking. She just all of a sudden stood up a few days ago and took off. Of course I didn't get it on video, she did it too fast. All of our kids have walked pretty early, so I wasn't too surprised when she did do it. She was pretty proud of herself when she made it across a room, she clapped her hands and had a huge smile on her face. It is pretty fun to watch her walk around, she looks so little compared to her brothers.

Trying to be like my big brother...

I think that we are going to be having our hands full with Lexie and Spencer. Lexie is starting to do some of the exact same things as Spence. She has started to climb up on anything that she can and get into things. She had somehow gotten up onto a little chair and reached onto the table and got down some popcorn and preceded to throw it all over the floor while getting a good chunk in her mouth too. Of course Spence was right behind her doing the exact same thing. Like Spencee, Lexie has to be feed at certain times or it is meltdown. I have never seen a one year old melt down like her all for food. I really miss not having child proof locks on all of the cabinets, we left them on all of our cabinets in Utah. The child proof door covers don't work on Spence anymore, he knows how to take them off. So when Chandler is off at school Spence and Lexie get into tons of trouble between the two of them. Chandler seems to keep them under control when he is around, so it is nice to have him around to keep them grounded. I am really worried about what things they will get into when they get bigger.

Lexie's Party

We had a party a few days after her actual birthday with Ryan and Anne and their kids. It was fun to get together with them to celebrate this day. Nate made the bear cake, it is great to be married to a guy that will actually cook. Lexie actually took her first three steps that day. She will take three steps and then sit down on her bum, so she is really close to walking. Lexie got a lot of fun things that she enjoyed opening. Thanks to Great Grandma and Grandpa Barker for the little people's car, she absolutely loved it. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa McKinstry for the outfit and dress, she seemed to enjoy throwing them out of the box. But she looks really cute in them. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Barker for the doll and bottles, they are still being fought over by Spence and Lex. Thanks to the McKinstry's for the book and heart that Gabby made for her. We are huge book lovers at our house. I have decided that I really need to learn to use the slide show tool, so that I can use more of the pictures that I take. Maybe one day when I have some time I will sit down and figure it out.

Lexie's First Birthday

Here is Lexie on her birthday enjoying her cake that we gave her. I made the mistake of leaving her clothes on. We just did cupcakes and then a few days later did a party for her and made her a cake. We let her open one present that night, that everyone fought to play with. She has gotten to the point where she will scream at her brothers to give her back her toys, starting to see a little attitude in our sweet princess.

Back to a schedule..kind of

Well the last week or so has been pretty much a blur to us. Starting last Sunday Chandler and Spencer got the flu. Then on Monday Nate and I started feeling under the weather. Mine lasted pretty much the whole week. Nate was feeling better in a few days and the boys had little signs for four or five days. Chandler started his new preschool last week, so it was kind of a rough start to a new school. Nate had to take him his first day on Tuesday, I seriously could not move very far without having to sit back down. He seems to really enjoy his new class and teacher. We have a twenty minute drive, I picked one that will be close to our house in Clarksburg. Until it is finished in two months, we will enjoy the drive through farmland to get there. Lexie Beth turned one last week, I will post some fun pics for all to see her enjoying her cake and presents. We are starting to get into kind of a schedule, that is until we move again and mess it up.
