Soccer

Summer has gone by way tooooo fast, here we are in August and it seems like it should still be the beginning of July.  Anyway Chandler and Spencer did soccer for a few months during the spring.  Their last soccer game was the second saturday of June.

Chandler loves playing soccer and is really good at it too.  Spencer on the other hand just wants to stand there and watch while all the action goes on around him.  He would every once in awhile move around the field, but that was only when we would yell at him to get the ball.

I guess it did not help that that a week before soccer was to start he got his cast off.  He was still having a hard time running around very well.  We figured quickly that soccer is not his sport of choice.  He wants to try baseball, so maybe since he loves to stand that might work. But he was so proud of his trophy that he got the last week.  He was very proud of the trophy he wanted to carry it every where he went.  We thought it was pretty funny that he was so proud of himself and all he did was stand around.

Chandler this year was on a team that they practiced mid-week and then had games on saturdays.  They even had a few tournaments that were all day events, that he did awesome in.  He was the main person that would score in each game.  We figured out that Chandler is one competitive kid, he hates to lose.  He really wants to keep playing and try his hand maybe in cricket or golf.  Soccer is a good starter sport we have decided.
